27th Annual Telly Awards Recognizes WealthTV Documentary

Honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions, the Telly Awards recognized WealthTV in the documentary category for The Terri Schindler-Schiavo Story.” This landmark two-hour documentary special from WealthTV explores the life of Terri Schindler-Schiavo, from her childhood through her tragic death.  In addition, the program examines the myriad of issues and questions that have made Terri Schiavo a name known around the world.

Produced and written by Nancy Shapiro, “The Terri Schindler-Schiavo Story” features never before seen photos and video of Terri and contains numerous exclusive interviews with Terri’s family and friends. Also captured in this special are exclusive insights from the attorneys for both the Schindlers and Michael Schiavo.  The program features prominent women’s rights attorney Gloria Allred and world-renowned pathologist Dr. Michael Baden.  These individuals add balance and insight to a fascinating story of how a young woman became a symbol in a fight for life; a fight that would eventually involve our government at the highest level.
