We visit Mount Etna and see the puffs of smoke emanating from the summit-even the streets and buildings are made from lava rock. We discover how the volcanic soil results in the most incredible fruits and vegetables and see the cuisine for which Sicily is world renowned, at the Restaurant Galatea. The restaurant is the site of a Sunday lunchtime feast, where churchgoers come after the first communion of some of the children of the village. Course after course of wonderful food, served at tables perched over the seafront where fishing boats are still out looking for more fresh bounty from the beautiful waters of the Mediterranean.
